Idivia is a type of lettuce, and its extract (Acqua d'Indivia) was used as a pharmaceutical compound during the middle ages and the Renaissance.
You could have found this type of vase in any pharmacy at that time, sitting on the shelves behind the counter alongside many others, each containing a different extract.
